Teachers and staff from tech, food service, transportation, and custodial met today with all building principals and district level administrators. The state public health order was reviewed. Work was done to prepare a draft “Smart Start” plan for the start of school. Much was accomplished in these four areas: communication, safety and wellness, school operations and instruction, and technology. District administrators will use the ideas from todays’ meeting to finalize the “Smart Start” plan. Approximately 1,000 people have responded to our invitation to give feedback via the survey. These responses will also be considered as the plan is developed. The plan will be submitted to the Lincoln County Public Health Office and to the LCSD#2 Board of Trustees prior to being submitted to the state on August 1. The Board will hold a work session on Tuesday, July 28 to review the plan.
